Navi is new, Navi is bold, Navi is beautiful, Navi is moving in a direction that is set to break new ground in the plumbing industry. For over 70 years our knowledge has grown, and our business has changed and evolved. Navi is our most exciting evolution yet. We’ve done away with industry stereotypes and created something truly inspired. Located in a contemporary new space in Glen Iris, Navi is THE destination for premium plumbing products. Our showroom unveils modern new wares, all at a level of quality Centre Plumbing clients have come to expect.

Navi: Next generation bathrooms and kitchens.

The Objective: A new standalone brand identity for a multi-generational family business launching into the premium/designer product market.

The Opportunity: To create a brand that appealed not only to Centre Plumbing’s existing ‘bricks and mortar’ client base, but that it elevated to a level that would appeal to architects. By appealing more to architects, it was hoped Navi would be the first choice when specifying premium bathroom and kitchen products for high-end residential and commercial projects. To ensure internal stakeholder buy-in it was also important to establish alignment with the business’s existing brand.

The Outcome: The design response is approachable, confident and connected to Centre’s many years of industry knowledge and experience. While the identity feels contemporary, there is also an element of familiarity and a connection to the current Centre logo and brand typeface. The semi-circle references water (drops, basins, etc). In its repetitive form the identity grows in personality and represents the flexibility of the new business/offer. The type approach is also quite flexible, hinting at the journey through the space and avenues traversed over the many years.
